MASPA offers membership opportunities to eligible individuals, organizations, and companies. Membership categories, eligibility, benefits, dues, and terms may vary by membership type and may be changed by MASPA from time to time.
By submitting a membership application, registration form, renewal form, sponsorship form, exhibitor form, or other MASPA approved request for participation, you agree to the applicable membership terms, payment obligations, and program requirements stated by MASPA.
Professional membership in MASPA is available to active school personnel whose assigned work is primarily concerned with personnel or human resource functions in public schools or public charter schools.
MASPA may offer different professional membership levels based on a member's role, access needs, event participation, resources, or other criteria established by MASPA. Members should select the membership level that best matches their role and the MASPA events, resources, and services they intend to access.
Questions about the appropriate professional membership level may be directed to [email protected].
By submitting a professional membership application, renewal form, registration form, or other MASPA approved request for participation, the member and, when applicable, the member's employing organization agree to the applicable membership terms, payment obligations, eligibility requirements, and program requirements stated by MASPA.
The MASPA membership year for professional members is September 1 through August 31, unless MASPA states a different term in writing.
Payment is due upon submission or acceptance of the professional membership application, renewal, registration, or other MASPA approved request, unless MASPA states a different payment deadline in writing.
Professional membership fees are generally paid by the member's employing organization. When a membership is paid by an organization, MASPA may allow the membership to be reassigned within the same membership year to another eligible employee of that organization.
Membership reassignment is not automatic. A request to transfer or reassign a professional membership should be submitted to MASPA in writing. MASPA may approve or decline a transfer request based on eligibility, membership level, payment status, access needs, and administrative requirements.
A professional membership may not be transferred to an individual who does not meet MASPA's professional membership eligibility requirements.
Professional membership benefits may include access to member resources, communications, professional development opportunities, events, listservs, directories, or other services identified by MASPA. Access to some benefits may depend on membership level, payment status, eligibility, event capacity, registration requirements, or other MASPA requirements.
Professional membership fees are not refundable once MASPA has accepted the application, processed the renewal, provided access to member resources, registered the member for member benefits, or otherwise begun providing professional membership benefits.
A member's decision not to use all available benefits does not reduce or cancel the payment obligation for the applicable membership year or term.
Members are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information in their MASPA member profile, including email address, job title, employer, interests, and other relevant information. Members may update their contact information from the member profile screen when logged in to mnaspa.org.
MASPA may make reasonable changes to professional membership levels, benefits, event formats, communication methods, resources, or access requirements when necessary for operational, scheduling, financial, program, or governance reasons.
MASPA may suspend or withhold professional membership benefits if payment is not received, eligibility requirements are not met, contact information is inaccurate, or the member fails to comply with MASPA requirements. MASPA may also decline future participation by an individual or organization with unpaid fees.
Questions about transferring a professional membership may be directed to [email protected].
A company may request MASPA business membership by submitting a business membership application or other MASPA approved registration form. MASPA may accept or decline any application at its discretion.
By submitting a business membership application, the company agrees to pay the applicable business membership fee for the membership year or other stated term. Payment is due upon MASPA's acceptance of the application, unless MASPA states a different payment deadline in writing.
The person submitting the application represents that they are authorized to act on behalf of the company and to commit the company to the applicable payment obligation.
MASPA may begin providing business member benefits after receiving or accepting an application. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, directory listing, recognition, promotion, event access, communications, sponsorship visibility, or other opportunities identified by MASPA.
Business membership fees are non-refundable once MASPA has accepted the application and begun providing business member benefits. A company's decision not to use all available benefits does not reduce or cancel the payment obligation.
A company may request to withdraw from business membership by providing written notice to MASPA. Withdrawal does not cancel any payment obligation for a membership term after MASPA has accepted the application and begun providing benefits.
MASPA business membership provides access to membership benefits and visibility opportunities. MASPA does not guarantee sales, leads, referrals, contracts, meetings, or any specific business outcome.
MASPA may make reasonable changes to business membership benefits, event formats, communication methods, or recognition opportunities when necessary for operational, scheduling, financial, or program reasons.
MASPA may suspend or withhold business member benefits if payment is not received. MASPA may also decline future participation by a company with unpaid fees.
