Counting down the days to the New Year may feel like running the gauntlet in 2020. The stress anticipated and felt by employees, students, and families has significant negative effects on our mental health directly impacting our physical health as well. Negotiators wear the toughest armor into the battle, but also need to take the time to strengthen the softer human layer underneath. In this engaging presentation, Rachel Hilyar will talk about some of the practical interventions that ISD 728 has put in place to support staff and students. She will also share a number of resources available that can inform the conversations you're having about handling stress, at work and at home.

  4. Reports and Updates on Settlements
Moderated group discussion: members share a brief update as to where they are in the process of negotiating teachers’ and other contracts. Includes please share the main issues they have brought to the table as well as any other issues or proposals you feel would be of interest to the group.
