State Negotiators September 2019 Meeting

  • Existing Business Members may attend lunch and the presentation portion of the meeting. Reports and updates on settlements are closed to just school negotiators.
  • Drop-in attendance to the meeting. Fee pays for lunch, facility, and administration costs.
  • Attendance for full State Negotiators members.
  • This session is free to Full members of the State Negotiators and MASPA Business members.
  • $35 registration fee applies for non-Full members of State Negotiators.
    This session is free to Full members of the State Negotiators and MASPA Business members.

Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Introductions

  2. Kirk Schneidawind, Executive Director of the Minnesota School Boards Association will join the group to share MSBA's draft legislative agenda for the 2020 Session.   Attendees will be asked to share their feedback and also identify high-level points of interest with respect to legislative issues that impact their work as HR/Labor Relations professionals in schools, such as wage theft and educator licensing.

    Please come prepared to share a brief update as to where you are in the process of negotiating your teachers’ contract.  Specifically please share the main issues they have brought to the table as well as any other issues or proposals you feel would be of interest to the group.
